Ben Rivers
I began weight training in 2010 and quickly developed a passion for powerlifting. Through years of self-teaching, competition, injuries, and education, I developed a strong understanding of training principles, technique, and the importance of individualized programming. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education and competed in my first USAPL meet in 2018.
By 2025, I had increased my total from 1,327 to 1,598 pounds. In 2024, I became the advisor for the Husson Powerlifting Club, coaching athletes to personal records, podium finishes, and championship victories.
My experiences as both an athlete and coach have shaped my philosophy: effective training requires patience, sound programming, and a commitment to each lifter’s individual goals and long-term success.
